Antelope Canyon X
A slot canyon is a narrow canyon formed by the wear and tear of water rushing through rock over millions of years. These canyons are typically deep and narrow, with towering walls that create dramatic views of shadows and lights. Antelope Canyon has several sub-parts: Upper, Lower, Canyon X and Cardiac Canyon. Only Canyon X and Cardiac Canyon still offer photography tours. We opted for the 3-hour tour at Canyon X. (Cardiac Canyon is on my Bucket List!) Canyon X is actually two slot canyons. It gets its name from the rocks near the entrance that form an "X" shape. Summer is the best time to photograph the light beams so we didn’t get to experiene that. Besides, it was a cloudy day. Still, we were awed by God’s magnificent creation!
